Costuming Charlie Brown

Charlie Brown:

Almost always wears his yellow shirt with brown pants...

...Except for when he is in his jacket (usually with a cap)

which may be red or green

-In some of the older comics Charlie Brown's shirt is shown as more of an orangish color than yellow, he is also wearing blue pants instead of brown-

A Medieval Romance: Herald

-I know that it is an idea for the Herald to carry a different instruement with each entrance.  I thought it would be a great idea to play up the instruements.

For example:

I would love to see either a title or  sarcastic phrase hanging on the banner off of the trumpet.

OR

Each EXTRA LARGE (like as big as Francesca) with either the Family Crests painted on the sides, or Titles, or Jokes, etc.

(I think it would be funny if before the wedding the Herald comes out with each family's crest painted on the inside of the cymbals-and then of course crashes them together.

A Medieval Romance: Costume Starting-Points

A Medieval Romance: Costume Starting-Points

Conrade:

Constance:

-innocent...but not too innocent

((red top) I liked this because it was unique.. different than other medieval gowns)

Queen:

-a bit darker, hints of promiscuity, I like the idea of the large collar

Lord:

-dark tones (ideally complimenting his wive's)

Duke:

-He's quite old and a bit aloof, I would like to see him in lighter tones.

-Perhaps a long robe- he's old! He wants to be comfortable!

Herald :

-I thought these were unique.. not as stereotypical.

Peasant (male):

Peasant (female):

*(right) I know there are some gowns similar to this left over from Oliver

Some sketches:

-Im not sure if the costume designer is planning on making any of the costumes... but I thought these may be useful.
